How to Help: Organise An Event

 

Organising an event is a great way to raise money for The Mullany Fund. From concerts to cake stalls, pub quizzes to bike rides, Mullany Fund supporters do it all. Please follow our guidelines to ensure your fundraising event is both safe and legal. Read our Fundraising Promise.

How can we help?

The level of support we are able to provide depends on the scale of your event. We can provide:

  • fundraising materials such as collecting boxes and posters
  • support and information on planning and organising your event.

We cannot guarantee, but will try to help whenever we can with:

  • permission to use our logo
  • support with publicity
  • adding your event to our listings page
  • organising a speaker for the event
  • recruiting volunteers to help on the night.
  • a letter of authorisation from The Mullany Fund (to help you find a free/cheap venue, for example)

We are a newly established charity and cannot provide this level of support for every event. As such, please provide as much notice as possible and provide detailed answers to the questions when you request event support.

Once we have your answers, we can assess your basic event plan and, if it seems feasible, issue a letter of agreement outlining the level of support we are able to provide.

Please note that at peak times of the year when there are lots of events on (during summer festival time, for example) it can be more difficult for us to provide additional support. The more notice you can give us the better the chance that we can help.

We are sorry that The Mullany Fund can’t

  • provide financial support or get sponsorship for you, so please make sure that you budget well
  • sell tickets for you
  • get celebrities to attend or perform at your events (we ask that you let The Mullany Fund know before contacting celebrities yourself).

How to send in money raised

The money you raise must be sent to The Mullany Fund. Two people should always be present when counting money.

Remember to include your name and address, and tell us how you raised the money so that we can say thank you.

We love hearing about your events. If possible, please email us any photos or unusual stories about the event which we may put on our website or in newsletters.
