Chloe Cook Band Dedicate Song to Cath and Ben
South Wales’ Chloe Cook Band have dedicated a song to the memory of Ben and Cath.
The band is led by lead singer/songwriter and guitarist Chloe Cooke from Barry, South Wales who has been singing, writing and performing her own songs since the age of 12. Drummer Luke Thomas and guitarist Rhys Williams also grew up together in Barry. The band’s pianist, Jamie Cleaton, hails from Newbridge and has been performing with Chloe ever since she started the band. Ashley Meredith, Ben Mullany’s cousin, joined the band at the beginning of 2008. It was Ashley’s idea to contribute something to Ben and Cath’s memory.
Chloe had already composed a song called ‘Live Forever’, and after listening to the lyrics of the song, Ashley felt it was perfect for dedicating to Ben and Cath. He said
“The song is for the lives they both lived and for the inspiration the memorial fund is giving to people who have the same ambition for helping people as they did.”
Chloe added “After hearing about the events that occurred, we were both shocked and saddened. We are more than happy to dedicate this song to their memory and have made it available to download so that others can hear it.”
“Everytime the song is played at the band’s gigs, Ashley dedicates it to Ben and Cath, knowing that the love from their families and the moments they had together will live forever. “

Chloe and Luke both attend college studying a Music Performance course. Rhys is currently studying chemistry at Cardiff University. Ashley is studying Popular Music at The ATRiuM in Cardiff and Jamie has a National Diploma in Music Performance and Practice. They all have a great love of music and enjoy playing original material by Chloe and adding their own musical ideas.

"Ben and Catherine leave behind a legacy. They hit the hearts of the nation and the world with such an extraordinary love story."
"I am honoured to support The Mullany Fund, set up to help train new doctors and physiotherapists and keep the dreams of Cath and Ben alive."
