Collection Boxes
The Mullany Fund has already raised more than £50,000 to provide financial assistance to medical students in the UK.
Now charity boxes are popping up across South Wales as our supporters step up the campaign.
Charity representative Bethan Palfrey, said: “I am delighted to announce that The Mullany Fund is launching its charity collection box campaign.”
“I have already had a great response from the community and hopefully the pennies will start rolling in.”
Ms Palfrey said: “The Mullany Fund recognises the real worry that our next generation of health workers may not reflect the society for whom they care.”
“We work hard to address this issue, believing that medical education should be about your potential to become a great doctor or physiotherapist, not your ability to pay.”
So far collection boxes have been distributed in a number of doctors’ surgeries and chemists in Swansea.
Elsi Ulvi, from the Sketty and Killay surgery, said: “We are very proud to be supporting such a worthy cause, especially as Ben and Catherine were local people who went the extra mile to help their patients.
“The money will help others do the same.” The scheme is set to be expanded across Swansea, Neath Port Talbot, Cardiff, and even parts of London, in the coming weeks, with a view of eventually placing boxes across Britain.
Ms Palfrey added: “If you know of anywhere that would be willing to locate one of our collection boxes, please get in touch.”
Email the fund at info@themullanyfund.org and write collection box in the subject area.

"Ben and Catherine leave behind a legacy. They hit the hearts of the nation and the world with such an extraordinary love story."
"I am honoured to support The Mullany Fund, set up to help train new doctors and physiotherapists and keep the dreams of Cath and Ben alive."
