TV presenter Sarra Elgan supports The Mullany Fund
TV presenter Sarra Elgan is lending her support to the fund set up in memory of Cath and Ben Mullany. Sarra, who tied the knot with Scarlets and Ireland international Simon Easterby in April, said she was deeply saddened by the couple’s deaths.
The S4C host went to the same school as Cath. Sarra said: “For two lives to be cut short so tragically in what should have been one of the happiest times of their lives is so horribly cruel. Having gone to the same comprehensive school as Catherine and knowing through mutual friends how happy she was at this particular time makes me realise what a caring and gifted doctor our country has lost.”
Sarra added: “I am honoured to support The Mullany Fund and have no doubt that it will preserve Ben and Cath’s memories as well as ensuring their dreams live on.”
“While their friends and family will never be able to replace Catherine and Ben, this fund will hopefully help others to continue the high standards they had set for themselves and the hard work that they had started.”

"Ben and Catherine leave behind a legacy. They hit the hearts of the nation and the world with such an extraordinary love story."
"I am honoured to support The Mullany Fund, set up to help train new doctors and physiotherapists and keep the dreams of Cath and Ben alive."
